How Sender Validation is Different.
SpamLion's Sender Validation Gateway focuses on delivering
real email rather than trying to find and stop spam. After all, isolating spam is hard.
Spammers are always updating their tactics to get through both
filtering and blacklist systems. With a couple of key strokes,
they switch IP Addresses, update the message content, or forge a new
"from address". It's simple for them, but a full time job
trying and keep up with them.
People sending real email aren't nearly as hard to figure out. They usually keep the same email address
and use a real ISP, plus most all of the people you and your company communicate with, you already know.
Why Sender Validation is Better.
By focusing on real email, the Sender Validation Gateway stops more than 99.99% of automated spam, with the lowest
false-positive rate possible. Sender Validation is simpler, more
efficient, more accurate method of email protection, with little to no maintenance
Sender Validation is a proactive technology. Other technologies are reactive, in that their rules are a
response to prior spam. The key to Sender Validation is learning who your company communicates with through
a number of different methods. Your company's gateway evolves as you send and receive email to and from new sources.
The Gateway can be pre-loaded with lists of already valid senders based on contact and prospect lists, previously sent email (back to the begining of time in most cases),
and global address lists.
Using industry standards, First Contact communication for sales and support can be automatically pre-validated
before they e-mail you. The 0.0001 First Contact e-mails requiring manual validation have their email held in per-user quarantines.
As the administrator, you can allow the system to offer these First Contacts the ability to immediately opt-in (in a way spammers' can't) to your company's valid sender list,
and/or allow protected users to validate addresses from their individual quarantines.
